For ease of the account opening process, please have the following documents saved on your computer in one of the following formats: Bmp, jpg or png.
- A passport size photo.
- A scanned copy of your Kenyan identification document/passport (first page, second page, last page and the renewal page if the PP has expired).
- A scanned utility bill or driver's license (for p verification).
- A signature card (to be downloaded from the portal, signed and scanned).
The attachments above should have the following dimensions:
- A width of at least 400mm
- A height of at least 300mm
- Maximum size should be 2mb
Set up your account via email, just follow the following steps:

You will be required to attach the following documents:
- Passport size photo.
- Passport copy.

Visa
Visa Personal Payments (VPP) is a cost effective, fast, convenient and secure way of transferring money. Equity Bank Visa cardholders can now receive funds domestically and internationally from any Visa sending partners worldwide.
In addition, Equity Bank customers can now send money to any eligible Visa card in Kenya and the rest of Africa.
To receive funds through Visa Personal Payments (VPP), all you need to do is to provide the 16 Digit Equity Visa card number on the front of your Visa card. Funds will be made available in your account as soon as you complete the transaction.
Currently the countries that can send Visa Personal Payments (VPP) to Kenya are UAE, Singapore, China, Malaysia, Taiwan and Hong Kong. Europe and North America will be coming soon. Banks that can send Visa Personal Payments (VPP) to Kenya*:

PayPal
PayPal is a payment service that enables you to accept payments, pay for goods and send or receive money without revealing your financial information anywhere in the world. You are able to access this service by opening a PayPal account. PayPal is the safer, easier way to pay and get paid online.
PayPal's partnership with Equity Bank enables one to transfer money from one PayPal account, to a PayPal account that has a Kenyan p and then directly into their Equity Bank account. You would need to open a Kenyan PayPal account via the following link https://www.paypal.com/ke to be able to use this service. Please note that an account verification code will be sent to your bank account statement. You will need to key in this code on the PayPal website to complete the account verification process.
The Equity Bank withdrawal service with PayPal works as follows;
- The Withdraw service is exclusive to Equity Bank customers, and is only available and accessible through https://epal.equitybankgroup.com/paypal/pages/
- Click withdraw from PayPal and select what applies to you
- Specify your account number and click submit
- A One Time Pin (OTP) is sent to the email address in your account profile
- Access your email after 10 minutes and retrieve your OTP
- Key in the OTP and click submit
- Key in the personal details and click submit
- Accept the terms and conditions and quote
- Click confirm on the confirmation screen
- You will be redirected to the PayPal login page
- After a successful login, the withdrawal page will appear. Click PayNow to authorize the withdrawal.
- A successful withdrawal gives a finish page. Click finish
- Please note that you will receive two emails. One will contain the transaction reference number and the other will have a withdrawal receipt from PayPal.
